Bob Davis
Bob retired from Schlumberger in 2015 where he was a Scientific Advisor, Geology, located in Oklahoma City.  His final position was Geology Discipline Career Manager.  He joined Schlumberger in 1977 after receiving a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Oklahoma.  Since that time he has held various assignments, including wireline field engineer at the Morgan City, Louisiana offshore district, field service manager at the Larose, La. offshore district, and senior sales engineer and district manager in Bradford, Pennsylvania.  He spent six years as Division Geologist for the Gulf Coast Division located in New Orleans where he was responsible for assisting clients with evaluation of borehole imaging (FMS/FMI) data and analysis of low contrast/resistivity pay.  Bob has been working with geological applications and interpretation of Dipmeter and Formation MicroScanner data since 1985.  He has helped develop local models for stratigraphic interpretations in both hard rock and soft rock basins.  He was Interpretation Support Manager for Schlumberger in Jakarta Indonesia where he was responsible for the introduction and applications development of new technology such as Platform Express (PEx), Combinable Magnetic Resonance (CMR) and Elemental Capture Spectroscopy (ECS) tools. His last position was in Bakersfield California where one of his main focuses was the interpretation of borehole images in structurally complex reservoirs.  He has authored and co-authored many papers on dipmeter field studies, borehole image interpretation and NMR applications.  He is a member of SPWLA, SPE, and AAPG.
Jon Kuespert
Jon is a business geologist by background and brings over 35 years experience operating in oil & gas basins in western North America. Jon was at American Energy Partners and focused on identifying and developing opportunities in the California basins. Prior to American Energy, Jon spent 14 years at Breitburn Energy as Senior Geoscience Advisor and Geological Manager/ Supervisor in California identifying brownfield development opportunities in mature fields in the LA and Coastal basin areas. This included support for reserve evaluations during the growth and transition of Breitburn from a small privately-held entity to a publicly traded MLP.  Before that Jon spent 10 years with Chevron in California as a Development and Exploration Geologist/Geophysicist. The projects included heavy and light oil exploitation, and gas production from diatomite, turbidite, non-marine, and siliceous reservoirs with thermal steam cyclic and flood, and non-thermal waterflood and primary operations. At Chevron, Jon was Senior Geological Consultant for the Western Exploration Business Unit, Elk Hills Group, where he represented Chevron in negotiations with the US Department of Energy at the Elk Hills oil field near Bakersfield. Jon holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, an MS in Petroleum Geology from Stanford University, and a BS in Geology and BA in Economics from Duke University. He is a member and Past-President of the Los Angeles Basin Geological Society -AAPG affiliate, Emeritus member and Past-President of the Stanford University Petroleum Investment Committee, member and Past-President of the Pacific Section AAPG, and member of the National AAPG and SPWLA. Jon is an author of over eighteen technical and financial publications.
Mike Mayfield

Mike is currently the owner of Enviro-Log in Piedmont. Oklahoma. Enviro-Log actively logs environmental wells at U.S. military bases, and on Super Fund Sites. Enviro-Log also logs oil, gas, and water wells for operators in the central USA using tools of its own design.  Enviro-Log developed a sonic casing inspection tool along with a lithology scanning service and a magnetic casing thickness tool to look at pitting on the outside of casing. Mike attended various University of Houston schools in the early 1980’s and worked as a professional wireline logger in the 1960’s to late 70’s, developing several splicing and spooling procedures used to this day by the industry. Mike owned Cable Specialties and Wireline Services through the 80’s which managed splicing work with bought and built logging trucks. In the late 1980’s Mike was drilling shallow East Texas wells and then started to work with Amoco on logging exploratory wells in the central US. In the late 1980’s to mid-90’s while consulting for Amoco he worked on Austin Chalk-related shear-wave use in horizontal wells. From 1994 to 1996 he was Vice President of MRMC, an operator of properties in the Oklahoma and Texas. In 1997 he started Enviro-Log.

Max Weldon

Max Weldon is an entrepreneur and investor with interests in oil and gas technology, directional drilling and real estate. He is a partner in Welbros Company LLC, which has real estate holdings and equity investments. Max has over forty years of experience in the oil and gas business and is the former President and CEO of Teledrift, Inc. a privately held Downhole Tool Company, providing wellbore survey tools to the industry, worldwide and sold in 2008. Max was co-owner of VolvoRents, a highly successful construction equipment business operating in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, which was subsequently sold to Volvo. Max was one of the founders of Terra Pilot MWD Tools, a technology company that serves the directional drilling and horizontal drilling industry and was sold in 2018. Prior to Teledrift, Max held management positions with Totco, a division of Baker International.  Max is a member of the Community Board of Directors of BancFirst Bank, the third largest bank in Oklahoma.  He serves as a trustee of the Oklahoma City Community College Foundation. Max is a former board member of the Oklahoma City International Trade Association.  He is a current board member of Invictus Tools. Max is a Deacon at Bethel Baptist church where he also serves on many committees. Max is a graduate of Central State University.

Andy Jagger

Andy graduated with a BSc (Honours) degree in geology from the University of Hull, England in 1982. He received a post graduate diploma in Computer Science from North Staffordshire Polytechnic in 1986. While working for the Geochem Group in the UK he developed  an excellent insight into the needs of geologists and their computing requirements. Andy moved to Denver to manage the log analysis software systems in 1988. He became involved in all aspects of the company’s operations between 1988 and 1995. In 1995 he became president of TERRASCIENCES.

Ray Ethridge
Ray joined Dresser Atlas in 1973 after receiving BS and MS degrees in Chemistry from the University of Houston. His duties were to manufacture and develop neutron generators and vacuum flasks.  He joined Gearhart Industries in 1977 where he developed their neutron generator tube.  Then in 1984 Ray moved to Welex where he worked on a number of projects including adapting his neutron generator from Gearhart to run with the TMD and was project manager for the TMDL, Spectraflow and RMT.  After retiring from Halliburton in 2000 he formed Chappell Hill Logging Systems. Chappell Hill Logging Systems has developed and manufactured a number of logging tools and neutron generators for industry-recognized logging companies.
Richard Bateman
Richard was educated in the UK, obtaining his MA degree in Natural Science-Physics from Oxford University. He began his career in the oil industry in South America as a field engineer for Schlumberger. He worked with wireline logging operations in many US and South American field locations living through the analog to digital evolution and later spent three years at the Schlumberger Doll Research Center in Ridgefield, Connecticut. He subsequently joined Amoco International Oil Company (now BP) and traveled extensively throughout the world from their Chicago headquarters, finding oil and gas and teaching others how to do so. He has also held posts as Chief Petrophysicist of Halliburton Logging Services, Engineering Manager for Bridas (now Pan American Energy) and as Regional Manager for Gaffney Cline & Associates’ Latin American operations, based in Buenos Aires. Richard has been a course writer and instructor in well log interpretation and petrophysics for the Tulsa Amoco Training Center, IHRDC and PetroSkills/OGCI. He has authored four books and multiple technical papers and patents. He is a Life Member of SPE and a Perpetual Honorary Member of the SPWLA. Although recently retired as an Associate Professor with the Petroleum Engineering Department of Texas Tech University, where he taught Formation Evaluation and Petrophysics, he is active in consulting and technical authoring.
